We have all had those days when we are heading home wondering why we even work.

The official scorer is in charge of announcing all game scoring decisions and, if necessary, is responsible for telling the teams scoring rules and their interpretation of the rules.
Other duties also include testing the press box microphone, being set up before first pitch, and keeping a detailed scorecard of the game.
MLB is seeking Official Scorers in a handful of markets for the 2023 season. Hiring is EXTREMELY competitive for these roles, but all Rule 9 junkies who think they have the chops are invited to apply! (Please RT & share w/ those interested) #baseball #jobshttps://t.co/C2uUfgJTBV

As you can imagine, trying to land this job will be nearly impossible with every baseball stat nerd out there applying for the position.
But at least know that you have options when you finally say screw it about your current job.
