The NFL kicked off its 101st season on Thursday night.

Unfortunately, in 2020, that means all eyes were on the field to see how the players would handle the Star Spangled Banner.

And the NFL players protested the national anthem. You won’t believe what the crowd did next.

The Kansas City Chiefs began the defense of their Super Bowl championship with a 34 to 20 victory at home over the Houston Texans.

But the big story was not Patrick Mahomes three touchdown passes.

Nor was it the electrifying first round draft pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s debut where Edwards-Helaire ripped 138 yards and a touchdown.

And it wasn’t even the Chiefs kicking a late field goal to go up 34 to 20 to go over the 53.5 point total, which is all many who were still watching at that point cared about.

No, the number one take away from this game is that sports fans are fed up with the woke performance art from privileged and pampered millionaire pro athletes.

For Week One, the NFL made the absurd decision of playing the so-called “black national anthem” before the national anthem.

The Houston Texans opted to stay in the locker room for the playing of the national anthem and the black national anthem.

After the two songs were played the Chiefs and Texans locked arms in midfield for a so-called “moment of unity.”

The fans in the stands let the players have it for their anti-American decision to boycott the anthem and booed the players out of the building.

One fan can even be hard yelling “Trump 2020.”

It was easy for baseball, basketball, and hockey players this summer to protest during games and virtue signal to their hearts delight by going on strike.

But it is clear that there is a major gap between what the fake news sports media praises as “activism” and what fans will tolerate.

Contrary to left-wing sportswriters’ claims, fans want the athletes to just “stick to sports.”

Sports are supposed to be an escape from politics.

The Chiefs fans sent that message loud and clear.
