Politics roiled ESPN for years.

The network can’t decide if it wants to be MSNBC or the worldwide leader in sports.

And one big name ESPN host admitted there is something very scary about the network.

ESPN’s Sage Steele is one of the few front-facing Republicans at the left-wing sports network.

Steele’s politics often put her at odds with her colleagues.

Prominent names at ESPN, such as Stephen A. Smith, are among the most adamant pro-vaccine mandate voices in the corporate-controlled sports media.

Steele appeared on former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler’s podcast where Steele admitted she did not want to get the vaccine but that ESPN mandated all employees get the jab by the end of September or lose their job.

“I didn’t want to do it,” Steele told Cutler. “But I work for a company that mandates it and I had until September 30 to get it done or I’m out.”

Steele ripped the idea of ESPN mandating employees to get a vaccine they may not need or want as “sick and scary” but that Steele loved her job and did not want to lose it.

“I respect everyone’s decision – I really do,” Steele added.

“To mandate it is sick and scary to me in many ways, but I have a job. A job that I love, and frankly, a job that I need, but again I love it. I’m not surprised it got to this point, especially with Disney, a global company . . . but it was actually emotional.”

Steele’s attracted criticism on the Left before for opposing national anthem protests and ripping leftists who protested Donald Trump’s immigration policies at airports.

But getting the vaccine is now an article of religious faith on the Left.

And while many leftists at ESPN will surely delight in forcing Steele to submit to mandatory vaccination, they will not like the fact that Steele publicly attacked vaccine mandates.
