Undoubtedly, the worst part of any televised football game these days is the commentary.
Yes, there are some good ones out there, but too often these days politics is more important than talent to network executives.
But one former NFL reporter just dropped a truth bomb on America’s media elites.
If you have watched a nationally televised sports broadcast lately, then you will know how frustrating it is to watch.
Just look at the Super Bowl for example.
It seemed like every second of television coverage had some nauseating social justice message crammed into it.
A feminist activist (instead of a more deserving armed forces member) did the opening coin toss, and the halftime show was full of violent anti-police, race-bating messages.
And the commentary and sideline reporting was just as bad.
It seemed as if reporters were more interested in drama and fashion instead of reporting on the actual game.
But one sideline reporter, who historically has done a pretty good job, was Michelle Tafoya of NBC.
Clearly, anybody who is tapped to report on Sunday Night Football must know their stuff.
But recently, Tafoya announced she is leaving all of that behind for something way more important.
Michelle Tafoya announced that she would be leaving her job at NBC to work on the Kendall Qualls campaign.
Kendall Qualls is a GOP candidate running for Governor in the state of Minnesota.
And as you probably predict, the radical Left is fuming.
This is especially true after Tafoya went on Tucker Carlson to discuss why she is getting into politics.
Her answer was that she is sick and tired of leftist race-baiting, and the evil racial division Critical Race Theory is perpetuating.
As Tafoya said on Tucker, “My son’s first best friend was a little African-American boy. They were inseparable. Get to a certain age; they start having what’s called an affinity group, which means you go for lunch and pizza with people who look like you.”
Tafoya went on to tell Carlson, “There is a big, big focus on the color of your skin and my children . . . Why are we even teaching that the color of the skin matters? Because to me, what matters is your character and your values.”
Despite this being an almost direct quote of Martin Luther King Jr., the radical Left is furious with many critics already calling her a racist and white nationalist.
And without a doubt, her former bosses at NBC (which is just one or two steps away from being as bad as Communist Chinese state media) are fuming.
For anyone with a brain, it is clear that Tafoya is no racist.
Tafoya is a patriot, and her move to try to make this country a better place instead of reporting on football is brave and inspiring.
