At this point the NBA, like most professional sports, has become nearly unwatchable due to the holier than thou radicalized players, woke agendas, and increasingly soft rule changes.
But even in this era, some players are standing up.
And one NBA star is speaking out about forced vaccinations and is refusing to back down.
Andrew Wiggins, small forward for the Golden State Warriors, was willing to forfeit nearly half of his $31.8 million salary and some home games to avoid complying with vaccine mandates.
Although being a pro athlete in California sounds like a dream (the weather, the beaches, the women), at some point the radical craziness of California catches up.
As of late, this means closed businesses, insane mask mandates, and now vaccine requirements.
And this harsh reality just slapped Andrew Wiggins.
Wiggins, a 26-year-old (who has nearly no chance of getting seriously ill from COVID) has turned heads for his comments about being forced to get vaccinated.
Wiggins argued, “The only options were to get vaccinated or not play in the NBA.”
He then went on to say:
“I know a lot of people get reactions or injuries from getting the vaccination, so I don’t know what it’s going to do to me in 10 years.
“I feel like I could go on for days about why I didn’t want to get it. Most importantly, I don’t know what’s going to happen or what it’s going to do to my body in 10, 20 years. […] But I guess it’s something that had to get done.”
In an age of woke-dominated sports, it is refreshing to hear some athletes standing up for themselves.
This notion of forcing athletes to receive medical treatments they don’t agree with should alarm all sports fans . . .
Right now, Wiggins is behind on his physical conditioning, which he attributed to some of his time dealing with the COVID vaccine fallout.
One thing is for certain, sports fans are only now starting to see the effects of these ham-fisted vaccine mandates.
