Social justice warriors in the sports media expect pro athletes to always come down on the side of the Left.
But the corporate-controlled sports media was in for a rude awakening.
And one NBA star’s answer left the left-wing sports media stunned in disbelief.
The latest political dividing line in sports – unsurprisingly – came when left-wing sports reporters began demanding all players submit to the cult of forced vaccination.
But while 95 percent of NBA players are vaccinated, there are still a few holdouts.
And the zealots in the corporate-controlled sports media find that unacceptable.
Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins is one of the holdouts.
Wiggins refuses to take the vaccine despite the fact that San Francisco’s vaccine mandate means Wiggins will miss all 41 Warriors home games if he doesn’t get the jab.
Three-time NBA champion, Olympic gold medalist, and teammate Draymond Green defended Wiggins.
At Warriors media day Green said it was not his job to demand Wiggins take the vaccine and that in America you have the right to decide what goes into your body.
“And that goes against everything that America stands for, or ‘supposedly’ stands for. And so I don’t think . . . no, I know I’m not in any position to go tell him what he should or should not be doing. And as a leader of this team I’m not going to go to him say ‘hey man, we really need . . .’ Nah, the hell, you do what you feel you want to do. I’m not going to go ask him did he get a polio vaccine. So why would I go ask him if he got a COVID vaccine?” Green stated.
Green added that vaccine mandates were an un-American infringement on personal freedom, saying if the government can force you to get a vaccine, the United States is no longer the land of the free.
The NBA star also questioned why politicians and media members pressed so hard for individuals to get the vaccine if the benefits were so obvious.
Green spoke for many when he said the ferocity with which the vaccine zealots demanded the unvaccinated get the jab showed there was an ulterior motive at work.
“I think there is something to be said for people’s concern about something that’s being pressed so hard. Like, why are you pressing this so hard? Like, so much, just pressing and pressing and pressing. I think you have to honor people’s feelings and their own personal beliefs – and I think that’s been lost when it comes to vaccinated and non-vaccinated. And it kinda sucks that that’s been lost, because you’re essentially not giving anyone. […] You say we live in the land of the free? Well you’re not giving anyone freedom because you’re making people do something, essentially. Without necessarily making them, you’re making them do something,” Green concluded.
The corporate-controlled media likes to pretend only Trump supporters out in rural America refuse to take the vaccine.
But NBA players speaking out about their reservations about the vaccine – with logical reasoning about natural immunity and passionate defenses of individual liberty – are destroying another corporate-controlled media lie.
