The NFL is reeling from the fallout over the national anthem protests and Black Lives Matter riots.

Games on the field in 2020 will be secondary to promoting social justice.

And now the NFL admitted one thing about Colin Kaepernick that no one wanted to hear.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appeared on former Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns linebacker Emmanuel Acho’s social media show “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.”

Acho praised Goodell’s hostage video during the Black Lives Matter riots following George Floyd’s death where Goodell apologized for the NFL opposing the anti-American national anthem protests.

However, Acho noted that Goodell never personally apologized to Colin Kaepernick.

Goodell responded with even more groveling.

“Well the first thing I’d say is I wish we had listened earlier,” Goodell began. “Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to. We had invited him in several times to have the conversation, to have the dialogue I wish we had the benefit of that. We never did. You know, we would have benefited from that. Absolutely.”

Goodell then falsely claimed that players protesting while the national anthem was being played after everyone in attendance was asked to honor the American flag had nothing to do with the American flag.

“It is not about the flag. The message here that what our players are doing is being mischaracterized. These are not people who are unpatriotic. They’re not disloyal. They’re not against our military. In fact, many of those guys were in the military, and they’re a military family,” Goodell added. “What they were trying to do is exercise their right to bring attention to something that needs to get fixed. That misrepresentation of who they were and what they were doing was the thing that really gnawed at me.”
The protest filled NBA’s ratings are tanking.
