Every man has a favorite beer.
Some like IPA’s, some like ice cold cheap American beer, and others like the ones that come in massive 40oz bottles.
But this NFL head coach was asked what his favorite beer is and his answer was one for the ages.
Following the Patriots 54-14 rout of the New York Jets, Patriots head coach was asked on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show “What is your favorite beer?” and his answer was perfect.
“Whatever’s cold,” Belichick replied without hesitation.
Exactly.
Bill Belichick gets it.
Bill Belichick has always been known as a simple man, and his answer could not reflect that any better.
And after the roller coaster year he has had (let us not forget their last second loss to the dominant Dallas Cowboys in overtime last week), I think we can all agree that he deserves a cold one after his latest statement win.
These are refreshing words from Coach Belichick, because we now live in a day where people have overly-sophisticated palates and will often refuse to drink perfectly good beer just because it is not “craft” or “artisanal” enough.
But hey, if a peanut butter chocolate stout is what gets you going then by all means, go for it.
When it comes to beer, you can rarely go wrong…
Moving forward, the Patriots have a tough road ahead of them. Currently, the Pats sit at 3-4, trailing behind their divisional rival Buffalo Bills.
Next week the Pats have a tough matchup against the 4-2 Los Angeles Chargers who, with the exception of last week’s rout against the Ravens, have had a nice start to the season.
If the Pats hope to make a statement and beat the Chargers, Bill Belichick better not enjoy too many cold ones or drinking beer could end up being his full time job.
