The NFL can’t seem to get out of its own way.

Each week there is a new controversy involving the league and its players.

And this NFL star had a four word response to a major change to the 2021 season.

As part of the new collective bargaining agreement, NFL owners negotiated the right to add a 17th regular season game.

The inevitable addition of a 17th game to the 2021 regular season is about to occur this week.

Some NFL players were none too happy with the news.

“S@#t dumb… as hell..” New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara tweeted.

Players narrowly approved the new collective bargaining agreement in a historically close vote of 1,019 in favor and 959 players against.

Those who supported the deal understood the NFL wanted to add a 17th game to boost the value of the TV contracts it negotiated.

Some players are concerned that adding another game to the season would increase the risk of injury as well as CTE that many players suffer from due to repeated blows to the head.

The 17th game was the major sticking point in the collective bargaining agreement negotiations and it is why so many players voted against the deal.

The good news is fans will have one more week of football every year.

The bad news is almost half the players already hate the idea.
