Tim Tebow’s NFL dreams are over.
The Jacksonville Jaguars cut the former quarterback turned baseball player turned tight end.
And Tim Tebow’s NFL career ended because of one viral video.
Tim Tebow did not make it out of the first round of cuts as the Jaguars trimmed their roster to 85 players following their first preseason game.
Tebow took the release in his familiar good stride and thanked the Jaguars for one last opportunity to live out his dream to be a pro athlete.
“Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dreamThank you to the @Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey. And we know that . . . God works all things together for good. Romans 8:28,” Tebow wrote on Twitter.
The writing was on the wall for Tebow after a viral video rocketed around social media of Tebow’s embarrassing attempt to throw a block in the Jaguars preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns.

Tebow was never going to be the prototype hybrid tight end/wide receiver who has the speed to stretch the field and the size to go over the middle like Kyle Pitts, whom the Falcons selected with the fourth pick in this year’s draft.
To make the Jaguars, Tebow would have to excel at the little things.
And that video of Tebow failing to throw a proper block likely doomed his chances to make the Jaguars.
