Fans have made it clear they have no time for anti-American athletes disrespecting the military and the flag by kneeling for the national anthem.
But the athletes don’t seem to care.
And now you won’t believe which sporting event is about to be ruined by national anthem protests.
The Olympics used to be a time to celebrate national unity and patriotism.
The 1980 “Miracle on Ice” hockey team, the 1992 Men’s Olympic Basketball team dominance, and Michael Phelps record-setting 23 gold medals are iconic American sports moments where the nation rallied around athletes competing under the flag.
But now, thanks to social justice warriors, the Olympics will now be just another stage for woke athletes to put on their anti-American performance art.
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced it would no longer enforce Rule 50 of the Olympic charter in next summer’s Olympic games in Tokyo or for any subsequent Olympic competitions.
“It is a fundamental principle that sport is neutral and must be separate from political, religious or any other type of interference. Specifically, the focus for the field of play and related ceremonies must be on celebrating athletes’ performance, and showcasing sport and its values,” Rule 50 reads.
After the 1980 Men’s Olympic hockey team won the gold medal, one of the most famous images In Olympic history is team captain Mike Eurzione standing on the medal platform, hand over his heart and beaming while he proudly sang the national anthem as the American flag was raised to the rafters.
Starting in 2021, Americans will now be “treated” to Black Lives Matter activists using the medal ceremony to trash the nation as evil and racist.
And if the NBA and NFL are any example, fewer Americans are going to tune in to watch.
